Like in the case of the Greenwich Meridian Line, the boundaries and demarcations are necessarily means to orient ourselves within this increasingly multi-cultural, multi-ethnic social context we face in the shrinking world, where information are shared on the webs, and physical properties are flown around the global market. In this project, an arbitrary elected artist's own " Meridian Line" was drawn in a transient material, which consequently demolished by the traffic of audiences.
In my recent works I have been contemplating on the ontological notion of "east” as in the East of Eden, where human conditions can be described as somewhat disinherited and displaced, and yet at the same time carrying the memory of its origin. In the East of Eden, the west also becomes a part of the east, and the demarcation becomes more fluid.
